CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

The aim of the conference is to expand knowledge on parliamentary diplomacy and to inspire further research in the field. Parliamentary diplomacy is a distinct component of contemporary diplomacy. It contributes to the shaping of international relations through its own mechanisms and instruments. During the conference, the concept of parliamentary diplomacy, its theoretical foundations, and its practical dimensions will be explored. The first Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Parliamentary Summit, hosted in Zagreb in March 2026, may provide a valuable case study for further research.

CONFERENCE PANELS:

Panel I: Parliamentary Diplomacy: Conceptual Framework and Lessons from Regional Cooperation Formats

Panel II Parliamentary Diplomacy as a Component of Contemporary Diplomacy
